Whispers of Home
The idea for this mural was conceived by bringing together two different cities and their landscapes to create one shared memory; fragments of a couple’s individual childhoods in India, reimagined for their daughter growing up in the USA.
Ahmedabad and Bhuj became the starting point for the composition. Their distinct landscapes, architecture style, flora & fauna and everyday visual memories were studied and woven together into a single continuous landscape, where two places coexist within one imagined setting.
